Some discrepancy between the two records - Chapel of St. John the Evangelist or St Mary’s Church, Alverstoke? Could simply be that one comes under the other, could be a transcription error.
Well I didn’t expect them to be in Gosport. Unfortunately, no hint as to an address. Which is a pity, because this sits between the 1830 reference to him being “of the Green Post Public-house” and the 1839 reference to him at the Coach and Horses.
