OVERSEERS.—A special sessions for the appointment of overseers was held on Monday last, before Mr. F. Bradshaw (chairman), Mr. W. H. Deane, and Mr. C. E. Radcliffe, and appointments for the several parishes within the division were made.

TRANSFER OF LICENSES.—A special sessions for the transfer of licenses was also held, before the same justices, and the following transfers were effected:—

Alehouses.—Queen’s Head, Gosport, to Mrs. Field, the widow of the late proprietor; King’s Head, Bedhampton, from John Newman to George Laker; Railway Hotel, Fareham, from James Burley to Alfred Jrmes Dunn; New Inn, Drayton Farlington, from George Albert Martin to Norris Beerling; Black Dog, Emsworth, Warblington, from John Peters to William Boltwood; Dolphin, Emsworth, Warblington, from Robert Stapley to Mrs. Ann Winter; East Cosham Tavern, Widley, from Stephen Windebank to George Todd; King’s Head, Hilsea, Wymering, from Charles Grist to Alfred Miles; New Coach and Horses, Hilsea, from Charles Henry Newton, to Frank Jones.

Beerhouses.—Brewery Tap, Alverstoke, to the Executors of the late Charles Johnson; Coal Exchange, Emsworth, Warblington, from William Ward to Charles Daysh; and Blue Bell, Emsworth, from Charles Daysh to Joseph Rawding.
