A SPECIAL SESSIONS, for the transfer of licenses under the Intoxicating Liquor (Licensing) Act, was held at the Sessions-room on Monday, when the following changes were effected :—

Alehouses.—The license of the Five Bells, Alverstoke, was transferred from George Wroughton to Henry Titheridge; the Fountain, Forton, Alverstoke, from Henry Kew to George Brewer; the Military Arms, Forton, from Charles William Holder to Francis Samuel Westgate; the Three Tuns, Elson, Alverstoke, from Thomas Abernethy to James Henry Cox; the Trafalgar, Forton, from Harry James Ingram to George Veek; the Castle in the Air, Fareham, from Stephen Harding to Frederick Herbert Hannan; the Royal Oak, Fareham, from Thomas Morris to Thomas Anderson; the Ship, Emsworth, Warblington, from Thomas Maynard to Frederick Crowther; the New Coach and Horses, Hilsea, Wymering, to Frances E. Martin, widow of the late proprietor.

Beerhouses.—The license of the Barley Mow, Ann’s-hill, Alverstoke, from Charles Watts to Thomas Grant Hillier; the Blenheim, Brockhurst, Alverstoke, to Sophia Horlock, widow of the former proprietor; the Duke of Clarence, Gosport, from James Murrant to Henry Richardson; the Elm Tree, Forton, from Tobias Butler to George Lutman; the Robin Hood, Dock Village, Alverstoke, from Henry Richardson to Richard W. Richardson; the Royal Sovereign, Gosport, from James Attrill to Patrick Williams; the Swan, Forton-road, to Frances Ella Hammond, widow of the late proprietor; the Horse and Groom, Fareham, from Maynard Gilbert to Frank Halliday; the Vulcan, Fareham, from Edward Munden to Thomas Lanham: the West End Inn, Fareham, to Maynard Gilbert, on the death of the late proprietor; the Red Lion, Southwick, from John Lynam, to Henry Bone; and the Bugle, Wickham, from Thomas Lanham to Henry George Turner.

Mr. Henry Ford applied on behalf of the owners of the Green Dragon, alehouse, Gosport, for a grant of a license to the house. The license had been forfeited by operation of the provisions of the Licensing Act by the misconduct of the late tenant.—Application refused.

Infra.—A special sessions for highways was also held before the same justices. Mr. Edmund A Leane was appointed a waywarden for the parish of Rowner for the current year, the parishioners having neglected to appoint one at the proper time.
